Community Living programs at The Arc include STAR, New Visions, and support for self-advocates. This effort fulfills our mission to give families and individuals with disabilities access to full lives in the community. STAR is short-term assistance and referral services.  Additional services include  school-age advocacy for education issues; and assistance with Social Security and Medicaid/Medicare information.  New Visions is The Arc of Shelby County's Home and Community Based Service for individuals with Medicaid waivers. We provide Personal Care and Supported Employment  in the community to allow individuals a real life in the community.
Below you will find more information on each program.  Please direct questions to Arricka Gilliard, 205-664-9313.
